Barrington Public School participated in a Term2 Sporting Schools program that was provided by volunteers from Gloucester Country Club.
During the 5-week program at school the students went through chipping, pitching, full hitting and some putting on the concrete area due to grounds being too wet.
The program was capped off with a final session hosted by Gloucester Country Club on Friday. Thanks to JNJG for covering the cost of transportation and a BBQ all 45 students attended the day with each student participating in a mini putt putt on the practice green, a chipping area with targets such as hoops, picnic tables, chairs and shed roof, and our LTLI.
Kicking off with the K-2 students, they were split into small groups of 7-8 and rotated through each of the 3 golf stations every 15 minutes over the course of an hour. The older students arrived (3-6) in time for all to enjoy a BBQ sausage and drink before the K-2 returned to school and the 3-6 students had their turn to test their golf skills.
